კარიერის დაწყება - Embark on

In a test preparation course book there is a question regarding the definition of the word “embark”. The sentence in question is, “Ferber initially planned to be a journalist and embarked on her career by working as a newspaper reporter in Wisconsin.”

There was some confusion about the translate.ge translation of “embark”. The translate.ge translation says, embark means to load a ship, to board a ship, to board a plane, Translate .ge does not provide one of the most common definitions or uses of embark which is as a synonym of begin, start, undertake or engage in.  

You cannot always rely on translate.ge to provide an accurate or full translation of particular English words. This limited translation of “embark” is a perfect example!

ახლახანს თბილიში "Dunkin' Donuts" გაიხსნა. მოდი ვნახოთ რამდენად პოპულარულია "დონათსი" ამერიკულ ინგლისურ ენაში.
